My name is Juliet Lewis and I run my home, No 27, as a stylish, contemporary B & B. I've been many things in my life, including a classical dancer, an education officer, and an English and drama teacher. I've also travelled to many places including Australia, New Zealand, Africa and America and have spent many years living in France. Nevertheless I would say that homemaking and family life have given me the most pleasure. I love cooking, gardening, improving, beautifying, and making people feel comfortable. I think therefore, without boasting, that I'm a pretty ideal person to be running this unique B & B.
The accommodation combines quality with informality; quality in the form of comfortable beds, goose down duvets, cotton sheets, plenty of hot water and immaculately clean bathrooms. Quality also in the breakfasts which contain the best local ingredients, homemade marmalade and jam, organic porridge, freshly squeezed orange juice, unsalted butter, free range eggs, freshly ground coffee and loose leaf tea. As for informality, guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and enjoy convivial breakfasts round the large kitchen table. They are welcome to make themselves tea and take it out into the garden with any available scones or cakes, or to sit upstairs in the peaceful drawing room. They may come and go during the day and have as much privacy as they want or feel free to sit and have a chat.
